The programme
Mission: to do something I’ve never done before
Our graduate programme has been carefully designed to offer you something very different. You’ll enjoy a well thought out mix of study (working toward your CIPFA qualification) and on-the-job practical work on site. One day you might find yourself in the library on study leave, the next you could be carrying out live audit work at the local council office or police department. No two days the same? Lots of people say it. We mean it.
We make sure that you’re an integral part of the team from day one, so there’ll be none of that ‘third wheel’ feeling you usually get when you’re the newest kid on the block. We think early responsibility gives our graduates an opportunity to flourish. On the other hand, we’ll never leave you high and dry – you’ll always have managers and senior peers around you to guide you as you learn the ropes. Perhaps one of the most appealing things about the nature of your work will be the variety it affords – no sitting behind the same desk day after day, week after week – you’ll be out on client sites, making visits to carry out your work.
You’ll also get an appealing salary from the beginning (contrary to common misconceptions, our remuneration compares very favourably with that of similar graduate packages). But we also know that your choices aren’t all about work – it’s important to know you’ll get the right life balance too. Here, we give flexible working options to suit your needs wherever we can. All in all, we’ve made every provision to ensure our graduate team are happy, fulfilled, challenged and above all, supported, to be the best they can be.
